Welcome to the Real T Team, Denton, Texas website. We are looking forward to helping you on the next big stage of your life. The first step to buying or selling your home is finding a real estate agent. We know this is a hard task, and we know that sometimes people do not find the realtor of their dreams right away.

As with any profession there are people who are good at their jobs and people who make the rest look bad. I was talking with a friend once about her search for a new home for her family. She was so excited. She had found a house that she loved. She was not really looking for a house but had seen the house while she was out jogging. She called the number on the sign right away. It was normal business hours and she had thought that someone would answer her call. She was wrong. Telling herself that they were just busy, she tried again later. This time at least she did get to talk to the realtor on the sign.

When expressing her interest in the house the realtor told her that she had left the key in the mailbox and my friend was welcome to look inside. The realtor never even set a meeting or even asked my friend’s contact information. So excited at the idea of getting this house my friend did not seethe huge red flags right there. Instead she went to the house, looking for the key in the mail box. It was not there. Looking around to just a better feel for the place she found the backdoor unlocked. Exploring the house she got even more excited. This was perfect to start a family in. The kitchen was everything she dreamed of and the bathtub was huge and she could imagine where she would put all of her furniture.

Although she called several times she never heard from that realtor again. She would look longingly at the house as she jogged in the mornings, but the sign never left the yard for six months. My friend had never really put much thought into owning a home before that. She soon found a longing to be a real home owner. She did not know where to even start looking or what to do. After dealing with the unprofessional lady before she was a little soured on finding a realtor. I told her to ask people in the neighborhood who helped them and get some referrals.
